The American Legion Washington DC Post 1 is a not-for-profit organization.  Our Public Relation section is responsible for communicating to the general public of the important works for furthering the interests of all veterans.  We are also responsible for clarifications on positions regarding various political and social issues.  By our Constitutions we do not have a political action committee and therefore cannot afford ourselves the luxury of endorsing any political parties or individuals.  We do, however, take a stand on certain issues that are intricately related to veterans’ rights and interests.  We therefore formed a Public Communication team to correspond our view expressed in the public domain.
