The History and Mission of Doughnut Girl Coffee
The Doughnut Girls of WWI risked their own safety on the front lines as volunteers to come to the aid of American troops. They helped soldiers write letters home. They helped conduct battlefield funerals. They cooked for the men and sewed buttons on their tattered uniforms. But most of all, they cared.
It's with this same spirit of caring that we created Doughnut Girl Coffee. One hundred percent of our profits are donated to helping those struggling with emotional needs or substance abuse and its aftermath.
The Coffee
Doughnut Girl coffee blends feature a variety of high grown Arabica beans from the Caribbean and Central and South America. The coffees are roasted in small batches to capture peak flavors and aromatic qualities. Product shipment follows immediately after roasting and packaging to ensure optimum freshness. Our roaster is committed to providing economic opportunity for small coffee growers, their families and their communities.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated by Doughnut Girl Coffee to The American Legion’s Heroes to Hometowns Program as well as George Washington DC Post 1.
